Activities/Attractions: The city of Varese used to be known, in the old days as a meeting point for travelers. Not too far away from major cities such as Milano and Torino, protected by the mountains, and close enough to streams and rivers, Varese provided its bypassers with a quite place where to restrengthen the spirit and soul. Most of the old Varese is still visible either in the form of old castles, ruins and a big tower called Torre di Velate which functioned as a defending post against possible invaders.

The Lake Maggiore Area is called Lakes' Land because of about ten sheets of water scattered in it here and there. This area, where there are also mountains whose height is not above 1600 meters, offers the possibility of doing trips in ferry boat, of riding and going with mountain-bike besides doing walking tours through numberless paths. It is furthermore possible to do sports such as golf, gliding or paragliding: all this is a few minutes by car away.

The Antico Borgo Sanda is recently refurbished while maintaining the original style, with antique furniture very well combined with all modern comforts.

We offer two twin-bedded rooms with private bathroom. and a small garden is available for your relaxation. We can summarize it all this way: a magical world of fairy tales where time passes slowly in the perception of almost forgotten feelings.

Breakfast is served in the patio of the garden and offers coffee, milk, tea, fresh orange juice, toast bread, cheese, salami, fresh fruits, cakes and jam made by myself.
