Activities/Attractions: Located on the south east coast of the Isle of Wight, Ventnor is a quiet Victorian seaside town away from the hustle and bustle of the larger resorts. Ventnor and its environs provide an enormous range of interests for anyone of any age group visiting the area.

Ventnor is an ideal base to explore the beautiful surroundings, wildlife and network footpaths and at the end of the day there is always time to stop at the public houses and restaurants and try locally brewed ale and fare.

The seafront enjoys a surprisingly mild climate due to sheltering cliffs and southerly aspect. The Western Esplanade has a part sand, part fine shingle beach, good for sunbathing and swimming and adjacent to pubs, cafes, amusements, paddling pool and seafront car park.

"I've just returned from a trip to IOW where I stayed in this lovely hotel overlooking the bay at Ventnor. Hotel building is a lovely old Victorian building perched on the cliff with great views of the bay from the balconies which run the length of the hotel. Inside the hotel has been renovated to provide contemporary rooms with neutral shades and fresh clean bathroom."
