General Information: Amazing Wollumbin Palms Retreat is tucked away at the base of Mount Warning in Northern New South Wales, 40 mins. drive north of Byron Bay and half an hour drive from Coolangatta Airport on the Queensland border.

Our three very unique and luxurious Lodges are on 80 acres of rainforest which borders the World Heritage National Park.

  • "Altwood" is a luxurious cave, crafted from rock & stone with full front & rear glass walls offering a stunning view of Mt Warning
  • "Kings" is crafted around 300yr old prayer rooms from a Javanese kings palace, complete with carved ceilings & doors
  • "Sir Joseph Banks" is a 12 sided lodge nestled high in the forest crafted from 8 different native timbers, and reached by a 16m footbridge

All 3 lodges represent the height of both luxury and value for money.

Activities/Attractions: Welcome to Amazing Wollumbin Palm Retreat's multi award winning lodges ... nestled amongst sub-tropical rainforest at the foot of Mt Warning - so close yet so far away. You will be forgiven for feeling like you are a world away from civilisation when unwinding in one of our very unique and stunning lodges.

Only 3 lodges are situated on our 80 acres of paradise, each is completely hidden from the others and separated by at least 300 metres. So private in fact that the option of hot outdoor showering is an experience that our guests talk about for years to come.

  • It is where the sun first hits the Australian continent. Prior to European settlement, the area was blanketed in sub-tropical forest and was home to the Bundjalung people

Murwillumbah, which is 10km from Mt Warning, has a wide range of shops and services and is a major centre for many outlying villages, such as Tyalgum, Uki and Stokers Siding. There are lots of weekend country markets to explore, beautiful country towns and local activities include canoeing, horse riding, festivals.
