General Information: Welcome to Hallauer House Bed and Breakfast in Oberlin, Ohio ... a Greek Revival century home, sitting on 2 1/2 acres in a private country setting where city meets country, old meets new and strangers become friends. Rest comfortably in one of our three large, well appointed bedrooms, where you will feel the past of our Civil War yet enjoy the modern conveniences of today. From May through September swim and sun in the heated in-ground swimming pool and relax on the mini beach! Warm up on cool outdoor evenings as you sit in front of a crackling chimney fire on the mini beach or by the pond. Each room has:
Southern exposure, Southern charm, Southern elegance! All await you upon your arrival into the Confederate Room. This is the room that Jefferson Davis or Robert E Lee might have found rest in. As you sink down into the queen bed you can almost smell the roses in the garland draped through the canopy over head. Snuggle into the quilts, pull out a book and read about these gentlemen of the South. Garden view, morning sun, and French country style are yours in the Civil War themed Union Room. Enjoy the sunshine as it pours in through the many windows and look out to absorb the view of the pool and gardens. Climb into the antique country French birds-eye-maple bed, sink into the pillows and quilts and recall the days when life was slower and so much different. The period clothing and Union uniform hanging on the doors, the antiques, old books and the Civil War sword give you a hint as to what the past might have been like. Travel a few steps down the hallway to experience the view of the North & South in the Mason/Dixon Suite. Just like the Mason Dixon Line, it overlooks both the north and south sides of the house. Step down into the front room where you will be greeted by the romantic canopy bed draped in sheer panels and sitting high enough to sit even with the window sills. If you need more space, the connecting door opens into the 18 X 30 ft. suite with a full brass bed, queen canopy bed, love seat sofa bed and space for an extra aero bed. All guests in the two rooms then share the bath in the main blue room. Help yourself to nourishment in the mini refrigerator or enjoy 2 satellite TVs in either the Mason (Blue) Room or the Mason/Dixon suite. Payment Accepted: Cash and personal checks. Rates: (Prices quoted in US Dollars) $109-159/night/double Click
