General Information: As an authentic Spanish mansion, the Hemingway Inn is one of the most photographed buildings in all of San José. Though the city has grown around it, it was originally built as a large hacienda for the family of a wealthy coffee plantation owner in the 1920's. Still retaining its former charm, only ten years ago it was completely renovated and remodelled to become an adorable bed and breakfast.
