Activities/Attractions: Merritt is located 271 Kilometres (168 miles) northeast of Vancouver in the heart of the Nicola Valley. With a population of approximately 8,000, and a trading area of approximately 15,000, Merritt is the commercial centre for the area. Claybanks RV Park is a 5 minute walk to downtown Merritt, B.C., where you can find many fine restaurants and cafes, shops, and many other amenities. Choose 1 or both of the beautiful golf courses located in the Nicola Valley - Merritt Golf & Country Club or Nicola Valley Golf Course.
The charming Nicola Valley is steeped in history; mining and railways, western lifestyle, and First Nations culture ... long home to a number of First Nations who continue to call the area home. European pioneers searching for a trading route between the Coast and the Interior reached the area in the mid-1800s. Imagine a magical place where the sun shines on most days of the year on grasslands, rolling hills, historic ranches and shimmering lakes. Such a place exists in the southern interior of BC, where the sun heaps over 2,000 hours of annual sunshine upon Merritt and the Nicola Valley.

General Information: Welcome to Claybanks RV Park ... a tree filled park situated on the beautiful Coldwater River in Merritt, British Columbia. We offer an abundance of shaded, large camping areas for RV's and for tents. The Park is open all year round with Spring/Summer camping from April 1 through to October 31, and with Winter camping from November 1 through to March 31st.
Although the entire Park is open during Winter Camping months, with heated showers/washrooms and electrical hook-ups for all sites, there are only 8 fully winterized sites (fully winterized sewer, water and electricity), so please phone ahead to ensure availability. We also offer reasonably priced Winter RV Storage in our secured park.

Pets are more than welcomed as long as owners ensure that pets are leashed and/or kennelled at all times and that owners clean-up any "souvenirs" left by their pets.
