Activities/Attractions: Cairo Montenotte is a municipality in the province of Savona in the Italian region of Liguria, located about 50 km west of Genoa and about 20 km northwest of Savona. Liguria is one of Italy's smallest regions, stretching west in a narrow ribbon along the coast from France. Mountains separate it from Piedmont to the north, Emilia Romagna to the east and Tuscany to the south.

Ligurian cuisine is basic and traditionally Mediterranean. Very simple ingredients are used, which alone seem insignificant, but mixed together bring out a final taste of great harmony. The basis of all recipes is Ligurian olive oil, sweet and delicate and herbs.
