"As return visitors we love the tranquility of a place built by the Canadian hosts for their own retirement. It's like being at home with all the supports you need to be as private or outgoing as you wish. We can walk 20 minutes to the local limited but expanding village shopping opportunities or prepare our own breakfasts in the shared kitchen with private fridges. The onsite manager has good English and is readily available. We stopped looking when we came across this place and see it as a great place from which to launch further travel in Mexico, as our schedule and budget allow."

We love the unique architecture of the buildings, the beautiful landscaping and the peace & quiet. We have the best sleeps of any vacation here on the comfortable king size beds. The furnishings are unique and incredible! There are special touches at every turn. The pool is lovely and surrounded by Bougainvillea. There are many wonderful spots to lounge under the palms or sun, in loungers or hammocks. It is such a magnificent property and the proprietors, Cam & Beverley are so genuine and hospitable you feel like family. Of course we'll be back!"

Our Playa Troncones beach rental suites can be rented individually or you can rent the entire home for your group. Each rental unit contains a king-size bed and is designed for two people. Cots can be provided for extra people.

"I'd heard great things about Regalo, but when I first arrived, I still spent at least fifteen awed minutes just trying to absorb the beauty of the place. There's amazing attention to detail here, from the local art and home furnishings to the lush, colourful flora. The buildings are open-air, so talk about an ocean view--the sea is always there, right in Regalo's backyard. Regalo's owners and staff are helpful, welcoming and down-to-earth. I took part in many friendly getting-to-know you chatsover margaritas in the kitchen, but I also enjoyed plenty of solitary beach reading in a hammock. The pace of life there is deliciously leisurely. Even though my last stay was less than two weeks, when it was over I felt revitalized (though I certainly wasn't ready to go home). All that relaxation and sea air (not to mention beach massages) are so restorative!"

"During our 10 day stay we did more than half our own meals and took the 10 minute beach walk to the town of Troncones where we tried 5 or 6 restaurants, all great. All units have king beds, and palalpa roofs. U don't want air conditioning with the ceiling fans and ocean breeze. The on-site manager, Jose, speaks perfect English and his friendly staff keeps the place sparkling. We were there for a laid back relaxing break so did not rent a car. Took a taxi to Ixtapa 1 day, $25 each way, couldn't wait to get back to Regalo."
