Activities/Attractions: Desenzano del Garda is located at the South West corner of Lake Garda in Northern Italy. Lake Garda lies at the root of the Italian Alps so magnificent towering mountain ridges are what you will see outside your Lake view window. Desenzano is midway between Milan and Venice and is one of only two towns at Lake Garda where the main train going East-West, stops at.
Therefore it is strategically positioned if you plan to do some sightseeing in Northern Italy. For example, Milan and Venice are about 1.5 hours away and Verona is 30 minutes away. Also there is a water park only a 30 minute drive away along with an amusement park, Gardaland.
One thing good about Desenzano in the summer, something which you will not get in places which are not by the lake, is the refreshing breeze from the lake. In summer it can get very warm in Italy so being located by the lake, the air will not become stale. In other words, warm but fresh.
