Activities/Attractions: Osoyoos is a unique, vibrant, growing community located in the heart of Desert Wine Country. Our semi-arid climate produces very hot, dry days in the summer and very mild days in the winter. Osoyoos Lake is the warmest fresh water lake in Canada and provides for great summer time activities.

We boast having a very long golf season that can be experienced on one of two golf courses located in Osoyoos. With Mount Baldy ski hill just a 45 minute drive, you could ski in the morning - golf in the afternoon!! A very unique experience! 

The name Osoyoos (O-sue-yes) is an Okanagan Indian word meaning “the narrows” or "narrowing where water comes together". Osoyoos is a year-round Desert Oasis, Canada’s only desert located in the continuation of the Sonora Desert that extends north up from Mexico.

Lake Osoyoos is the warmest lake in Canada. It is possible to ski in the morning and golf in the afternoon almost the entire year. Come and enjoy our quaint town and surrounding area with sandy beaches, superb dining, orchards and award-winning wineries in the sunny South Okanagan.

"This was not our first trip to the Osoyoos area but it was our first stay at the Rose Arbor and will not be our last. This was an +++++ B&B. Dee, the owner, has not overlooked a detail. We stayed in the bottom suite - Rose Cottage - and absolutely felt like we had a home away from home. There is just everything in that suite that you could want. We had leisure breakfasts every day outside on the patio, sitting under real grape canopy, overlooking the garden of Roses, day lilies, and lilies. Beautiful!!! The breakfasts always included a nice assortment of fresh fruit in a bowl with yoghurt, eggs and some kind of protein and of course toast and homemade jam. We never felt rushed at breakfast and could always enjoy an extra coffee or two before starting our day. This was just a perfect place to relax, enjoy the beach and hot summer sun. Thank you, Dee and Peter!"

We will provide you with maps, brochures and cards highlighting winery tours, wineries, restaurants, golfing, and other local events, attractions and activities that you can enjoy.  We will be only too happy to sit with you and discuss any questions you may have or offer our advice on specific events happening in the Okanagan.  We will also make any reservations or assist in anyway to make your vacation time an enjoyable and memorable one!
