Vermont itself is as beautiful as everyone says it is, Woodstock is the quintessential Vermont town, and the Jackson House was perfect with its welcoming (but not overbearing) hosts Bernie and Jennifer and great location just blocks from Woodstock. The grounds were immaculate, and the rooms perfect. I've had some too 'original' bathrooms at B&Bs/Inns, but the Jackson House had some of the most modern and up to date bathrooms I've seen. I loved my stay at the Jackson House!" "My husband and I have stayed in Woodstock and Quechee several times and this was by far our finest experience. Our stay was absolutely lovely. The location is excellent - close to Woodstock Village, yet set back off Route 4. Jennifer could not have been more hospitable. The restaurant at the Inn is superb with an excellent wait staff - friendly and attentive. For a true "Vermont" experience, a stay at this wonderful Inn is highly recommended." "We had a wonderful experience at the Jackson House Inn. The owners were very attentive to our every need. The food was fantastic. The room was very quiet and comfortable. And the location is picturesque!" "My wife and I and another couple stayed at the Jackson House Inn in March and were treated to an experience that can only be described as incredible. From the time we checked in to the time we packed up and departed, our stay there was phenomenal." "The Jackson House Inn was a total pleasure, from our first sighting of the sprawling house and inviting porch, to the last glimpse as we drove away. Upon our arrival, we had a tour with the inn keepers, Jennifer and Bernie, enjoying the notable antiques, art objects and history of the inn. They made sure we had every comfort possible. Our suite was beautiful - luxurious linens and plush bedding made sleep better than home." |
"We loved this place. It had all the charm I was looking for in a New England inn and with a restaurant and location like it has, well it was certainly the best b&b we have ever experienced. We'll be back!" "We would recommend this inn to anyone seeking a truly relaxing, comfortable getaway that includes outstanding dining and truly caring hosts." |

We have never stayed at a B&B with a first class restaurant and the kind of food they put out for breakfast. Even the champagne and hors d’oeuvres were a special treat. I am still raving about the dinner we had and the talent of Chef Jason. We never expected such a culinary experience in Woodstock Vermont! And the Inn was special too. It was elegant but not stuffy. The owners took good care of us but never intruded on our privacy. The beds are to die for and I even asked where they purchased their sheets so I could get some. We had such a great weekend with our friends, but the Jackson House Inn and Restaurant was the icing on the cake. We’ll be back." "We had a very dreamy, romantic time. The B&B itself is more of a "hotel-like" quality--until you get into the room and feel the B&B charm. I can only tell you that you will be pleasantly surprised by the class and elegance of this inn. It is not "in-town" so you must drive - but that's a good thing...it's only a mile or so from town. The hosts know exactly how to "run" an INN and make their guests happy. The evening wine and cheese is not your typical and the breakfast is so yummy that I am still dreaming of the chef's sausage and french toast with the yummy syrup. This is a find. I highly recommend." |
