Activities/Attractions: Dorset is situated on the south coast of England, between Devon in the west and Hampshire in the east - much of the County is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Few major roads run through the county, allowing Dorset to retain much of its rural character and charm. Dorset is a delightful county, with a variety of contrasting landscapes, consisting of coastline with high cliffs, inland there are wooded hills and fertile valleys, rolling chalk hills and wild heath land.
Rolling hillsides, dramatic cliffs, sweeping beaches, sleepy villages, bustling towns, quiet countryside - West Dorset's charms are there for all to see. The area is bordered by the Jurassic Coastline of Lyme Regis, which was recently awarded the status of World Heritage Site for it’s outstanding natural beauty and historic fossil finds. Just 7 miles away, Lyme Regis is a great place to enjoy a day on the beach, or a delicious evening meal of local seafood.
Bridport is a vibrant town set amongst the West Dorset hills. It is particularly well known for its popular Farmer's Market and its passion and commitment for local and organic produce. The town has also been championed by TV chef Hugh Fernley Whittingstall in his River Cottage series.

General Information: Welcome to Harmshay Farmhouse B&B in Dorset, England ... a 16th Century farmhouse that has been meticulously restored, retaining its rural character, while offering modern facilities and comfort. The thatched farmhouse is set in one hundred acres overlooking the beautiful Marshwood Vale in a very peaceful location, just a few miles from the Jurassic Coastline.
Set in the idyllic countryside of West Dorset, Harmshay Farm is situated in the middle of a vast network of public footpaths surrounded by native wildlife. If you would like to explore, a pack lunch can be purchased from the farm. For those of you who do not arrive on foot, there are spacious parking facilities.

At weekends there is the chance to enjoy live music and entertainment.
