Activities/Attractions: Anaconda is located in mountainous southwestern Montana, where the Continental Divide passes within 8 miles (13 km) of the community with the local Pintler Mountain range reaching 10,379 feet (3,164 m) nearby. It is the ninth biggest city in Montana.

Anaconda covers an area of three square miles (8 km²) and is 5,335 feet (1,626 m) above sea level. It is surrounded by the communities of Opportunity and West Valley. The county area is characterized by densely timbered forestlands, lakes, mountains and recreation grounds.

Riches of yesterday and today derive from the spectacular mountains of this region. From the 10,000-foot peaks of the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness to the 58-story 'stack' this is a place that meets towering expectations. You'll find historic and mineral treasures as well as modern recreation opportunities that you'll never forget.

We are centrally located between Glacier Park and Yellowstone, in the area of the Lewis and Clark Trail - ½ mile from the Old Works Golf Course, and 14 miles from Discovery Ski Area. The Pintler Wilderness area is at our doorstep.

General Information: Welcome to The Hickory House Inn Bed and Breakfast ... located in the historical district of Anaconda, Montana. Formerly the parish house of St. Paul's Church, the Rectory has 4,200 sq. ft. which includes five bedrooms - it's large size makes it perfect for a family reunion or weddings. The Inn was built in 1902 by local tradesman in a French Federalist style and is located halfway between Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park, in the area of Lewis and Clark's historic trail.

As you walk through the wrought iron fence, up the garden pathway by the wonderful restored fountain, you are taken back in time to another era. The wonderful porch, with its great white columns and wrought iron furniture, reminds you of elegant days watching the world go by. The home has its original oak and maple floors. The formal dining room is a wonderful site to behold, with its restful blue walls and Indian tapestry rugs; looks out into the garden area and another fountain.

• The Janie Jane Room has a view of the gardens, decorated in soft yellows with a queen size bed and large bathroom with a shower. We have soft fluffy towels and super soft sheets
  
• The newly remodeled 'Sister Gilmary' Room features two full sized beds and bath with an oversized shower on the main floor
  
• The newly remodeled Garden Room is full of wicker furniture, including a king size bed, desk and two twin beds. A large bathroom with a shower. The view from the room looks out at the Pintler Mountain. Our soft fluffy towels and luxurious sheets are a treat for the weary traveler
  
• The Montana Room is one of our largest three room suites. It has an Olympic queen size bed and two twins. For a real western treat, it is so much fun. The bathroom has a large clawfoot tub for soaking at the end of a hard day, plus a rainfall shower
  
• The Pintler Room is our most luxurious suite. With a massive king size bed,  a view over looking the Pintler Mountain, and a special sitting room with a desk. The bathroom is very large with a tub and a shower. Just right for a romantic night in Montana
  

Cowboy Cottage is for those who would like to stay for awhile and do their own cooking. Furnished in a true western style, two bedroom 1½ bath, laundry on site. A fully equipped kitchen, located in a lovely part of town.
$100/night/double (two night minimum).
$125/night/four people (two night minimum).

The Tuscany Cottage is located close to the entrance to the Old Works Golf Course. A fully furnished house with four bedrooms and kitchen, with two full bathrooms and a lovely enclosed front porch.
$150/night (two night minimum).
