Activities/Attractions:  The Champagne region is located in north-eastern France. Champagne consists mainly of a chalk plateau and is best known as the home of the sparkling white wine: the Champagne. 30,000 hectares of Champagne vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see over the rolling hillsides, dotted with picturesque villages. Most of the exported French champagne comes from the area around the cities of Reims and Epernay.

As the central town of Aube and the original capital of Champagne, Troyes is steeped in history. When Attila the Hun invaded Gaul in 451 destroying everything in his path, the bishop of Troyes, St Loup, offered himself to the invader and asked him to spare the town. He did. Troyes has maintained the commercial prosperity it created in medieval times through its famous champagne fairs in the second week in June. The old town of Troyes is still full of half timbered homes, the river Seine passes through and continues to flow towards Paris. The local cuisine is famous for the "andouillette" sausage and also Champagne. Onsite activities and nearby tours include:

François welcomes you to his former hunting house - entirely renovated as a guest house offering Bed & Breakfast rooms or self-catering gite. Enjoy all the modern conveniences, including a swimming pool and tennis. The "Domaine des Lacs" offers numerous day trip possibilities too.

Composed of 5 Bed & Breakfast rooms and 1 self catering house with 3 bedrooms, the "Domaine des Lacs" welcomes you for one or many nights. Situated around a big yard, the accommodations feature:

The House is made of 3 independent bedrooms, two with big double beds, the other with twin beds and each has its own complete bathroom, one kitchen, one lounge with fireplace and a small garden. It is handicapped accessible.
The Bed and Breakfast Rooms are each for two people with all modern conveniences (big bed, individual bathroom, individual toilets, TV). Among these 5 rooms, 2 families rooms on the ground floor allow access for handicapped persons.
