Activities/Attractions: Cascade Accommodation is 15 kilometres from Port Arthur Historic Site and is also in a good central spot to stay on the Tasman Peninsula when exploring other attractions such as the Saltwater River Coal Mines, Tasmanian Devil Park and the Tasman National Park.

Cascades Colonial Accommodation is steeped in history and is itself an historic attraction. As a Probation Station (part of the Port Arthur settlement) it once housed up to 400 convicts. "Cascades" has been owned by the Clark family for five generations. “Cascades” also offers:

• a private museum cell block
  
• walks that allow guests to combine history and nature as they walk along the waterfront to the site of the convict wharf
  
• swimming at one of the Peninsula's many beaches
  
• spectacular bushwalks in the nearby Tasman National Park
