Activities/Attractions: The pristine area of Canadian Shield and mature stands of conifer and deciduous forest is home to multiple species of big game and the waters around them are home to big fish and lots of them. Walleye and Northern Pike are the major species here but the angler will encounter sauger, perch, goldeye and crappie as well.
The land area drops 200 feet from the Ontario border to Lake Winnipeg, about 2 feet per mile! This creates large flooded lake areas and numerous rapids and waterfalls, excellent “chow down” areas for hungry Northern and tasty Walleye. The river and lake system insures that you will never be wind bound and waste a day, you can always find a spot to tuck in out of the elements, PLUS current fish are not “shut down” by cold fronts.
The avid angler will experience lazy
bays and hidden weedy ambush spots where you can toss top water baits and
flowing, bubbling fast water areas just right for a jig and minnow! Can
you smell the Walleye bubbling in the frying pan? Guides are not necessary
but can be arranged.

The area boasts a large population of
moose and is a breeding area for the Woodland Caribou making this
fantastic big bear country. The abundance of natural forage for the bear
population results in numerous, big bears, 30% color bears. This camp has
offered 100% opportunity with about a 90% success rate since hunts began
here in the 90s.

General Information: Come and relax in the wilds of Manitoba, Canada! Kitchi Island Outpost Camp is located about 50 air miles from Matheson Island. The camp is on a point of land at the mouth of Flour Channel, one of the arms of the Berens River that leads to Flour Falls. The lake is 3 miles long by 2 miles wide and has a rapid entering the lake and 2 sets of waterfalls leaving the lake and the continuing river system. There is over 12 miles of river to fish and explore and the angler can access Horseshoe Lake as well.
These fly-in only outpost camps are located on the Berens River system on the east side of Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba Canada. The area offers the angler exclusive use of the waterways to catch walleye and northern, there is only one camp at each site.

The camps offer privacy- the facilities are the only ones on the lake! You and your party will have exclusive use of the camps. The Cabin is completely equipped with propane refrigerator, cook stove and BBQ, wood heater, pots, pans and dishes.
